and materials.

This still life workshop is for
beginners and advanced
painters who want to get
back to the joy of painting.
Create work in a fun and
supportive environment
where the goal is to be
spontaneous and free, and
less rigidly structured in
your process.

There are no “oops”
moments in this fun and
engaging workshop, and you
are guaranteed to walk
away with a refreshed
perspective and hopefully a
new skill or two that inspires
you toward further
exploration of water media.

light-filled studio. Bring
your own materials and
references and enjoy the
light, sample a few of my
materials with guidance
and instruction, or let me
provide everything you
need for an exploration of

These workshops are a hit

creative experience

Altered States:
Personal Shrine

Call to schedule your group with at
least four to five participants.


Create a Personal Shrine or “Spirit
House” in a shadow box, which allows
a window into personal mementos,
events and memories.  Students
bring items from home that have
personal meaning to include in the
shrine.  Old photographs, postcards,
maps, lace, buttons, shells, keys,
items from nature, etc., are examples
of items that will make the project
unique.  The instructor will provide
lessons in layout, design, and the
application of various materials to
help achieve your unique vision.

Altered States:
Collage

Call to schedule your group with at
least four to five participants.


Compose a collage that is an artistic
composition of materials and objects
pasted over a surface, unifying it
with lines and color.  Students bring
personal items (flat pieces that can be
adhered to a two dimensional plane)
to incorporate into a canvas. The
instructor will provide lessons in
layout, design, and the application of
various materials to help achieve
your unique vision. Contact the

Altered States:
Box

Call to schedule your group with at
least four to five participants.


A fun project and a wonderful gift to
give someone!  Students bring some
personal treasures which will become
a part of, or contained within, a
wooden box.  The box will be
transformed by paints, collage, and
decoupage. Learn how to work with a
variety of materials and techniques
to permanently attach items to your
wooden box which include lessons
from the instructor on design and
layout. Contact the artist for a

Book

Call to schedule your group with at
least four to five participants.


Arrive with a blank journal and
learn how to work with a variety of
materials and techniques to
transform it with personal items,
paints, collage and decoupage.  Once
the book is altered, begin journaling
with your own images, drawings,
paintings, poetry and writing. Take
home the wonderful beginnings of a
personal journal that can be added to
over time.  The instructor will
provide lessons in layout, design, and
the application of various materials
to help achieve your unique vision.

Exploration of the art of sending unique, one-of-a-kind letters and postcards from design
through completion. Learn about mail art with an eye toward creativity, re-use and recycling,
and developing your own signature style. Send mail art to old friends and make new friends
around the world through a variety of online resources where mail artists gather. Individual
