The history pieces began to emerge long after my becoming a
professional artist, and in the middle of therapy that was dealing
with my childhood abuse. One painting was followed by another and
another, and my shame and grief poured out onto paper and canvas.
I had no intention of sharing them, they were painful for me to even
look at. Eventually my therapist saw them, and then a couple of
friends, and word began to spread about the paintings. A couple
were given away, and then inquiries were made about purchasing
pieces. What came from the depths of my soul was also powerful to
others. Gallery shows and then mainstream art shows followed and
people came looking for this work. More than 500 major pieces, and
many smaller pieces followed the path of my recovery....... from out
of the dark and into the light. These are but a few of the pieces that
charted that course.
